Charta Educa: Jurnal Kajian Pendidikan (E-ISSN: 3063-4146) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing high-quality research, innovation, and interdisciplinary scholarship in education. The journal provides an academic platform for scholars, researchers, teachers, and education professionals to examine educational issues through empirical, theoretical, conceptual, methodological, and practice-oriented perspectives.

Charta Educa publishes research that contributes to the advancement of educational theory, teaching and learning, curriculum development, educational policy, and professional practice. The journal welcomes studies conducted across different levels of education, disciplinary fields, and learning contexts.

Its scope includes, but is not limited to, teaching and learning, curriculum and pedagogy, instructional strategies, educational technology, assessment and evaluation, teacher education and professional development, educational policy and management, inclusive and special education, character and citizenship education, sociology education, history education, economics education, social studies education, science education, mathematics education, language and literacy education, arts and cultural education, vocational and technical education, environmental and sustainability education, community-based education, local knowledge, and interdisciplinary approaches to education.

The journal places particular emphasis on scholarship in sociology, history, economics, citizenship, and social studies education, including research on social change, identity, culture, democracy, economic literacy, historical thinking, civic learning, and the relationship between education and society. At the same time, Charta Educa remains open to research in science, mathematics, language, technology, vocational education, and other areas of teaching and learning, provided that education remains the central analytical focus.

The journal particularly welcomes manuscripts that demonstrate a clearly defined educational problem, critical engagement with relevant and recent scholarship, methodological rigour, analytical depth, and an identifiable theoretical, empirical, methodological, pedagogical, or practical contribution.

Charta Educa encourages scholarship that moves beyond descriptive reporting by demonstrating how research findings extend, refine, reinterpret, or challenge existing knowledge and educational practice. Studies may focus on classroom teaching, learning processes, curriculum innovation, instructional design, teacher practices, educational institutions, learning technologies, or the broader social, cultural, historical, economic, and political dimensions of education.

Particular attention is given to research that connects educational theory and practice with contemporary challenges in society, culture, history, economics, citizenship, science, technology, and the environment, while maintaining education, teaching, or learning as the central analytical focus.

Charta Educa publishes original empirical research articles, theoretical and conceptual papers, methodological studies, classroom- and practice-based research, and rigorous literature reviews that align with the journal’s aims and scope.

All manuscripts submitted to Charta Educa must be written in English. Each submission undergoes an initial editorial screening and, if considered suitable for further evaluation, is assessed through a double-blind peer-review process in accordance with the journal’s editorial standards and publication ethics.
